Easy Homemade Baked Doughnuts Recipe

Baked Doughnuts

Baked doughnuts are a variation of traditional doughnuts that are made by baking them in an oven rather than deep-frying them. They are typically made with the same ingredients as fried doughnuts, such as flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, milk, eggs, and butter or oil. However, the recipe may be adjusted slightly to account for the different cooking method. Baked doughnuts often have a slightly denser texture than fried doughnuts and may not have the same crisp exterior. Many people prefer them because they are considered to be a bit healthier than fried doughnuts since they are not cooked in oil. They are also easy to make at home, you can use a doughnut pan to give them shape and with a few ingredient you can have them ready for breakfast or snack.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
  5. Fill the prepared donut pan with the batter, filling each mold about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a donut comes out clean.
  7. Remove the pan from the oven and let the donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Once cooled, you can glaze or decorate the donuts as desired. Enjoy!
