Pan pizza is a type of pizza that is cooked in a deep dish pan, giving it a thicker crust and a crispy texture. It is typically made with a thicker layer of cheese and toppings than traditional thin-crust pizza. The dough is also typically oiled before baking, which contributes to the crispy texture of the crust. It originated in the United States in the mid-20th century and is now a popular pizza style around the world.
